Hello there! Hope you’re doing well. It’s February, second month of the year. This is the time when people potentially fall off their new years resolutions or experience a bit of a drop after the holidays. I’m most definitively not the exception. Although January was a great month for me full of activity and a renewed sense of empowerment… I’ve learned I’m a very sensitive person so going from a very high to a low is really challenging. February was a task for me to balance out activities with rest to prevent burnout and overwhelm for the rest of the year. Or at least the next couple of months…
Since the holiday season in New Zealand happens to also be the summer season, it’s really tempting to put all your energy onto doing the most in this season. I knew I wanted to still make the most out of the summer holiday season personally but also summer is my high season for work as I work in Tourism. I’ve been trying to balance FOMO with self care and a sustainable amount of work without feeling FOMO of the high season (high earning months). It’s a juggling act.
