Cutting my hair into a Bob

Hello! Welcome to this blog.

After a few years of growing my hair long, it recently started weighting on me and getting stuck in weird places… Like when I went to sleep and I’d get stuck under my arms or back when getting up from bed.

A few months ago I cut a few centimeters off to take some of the weight away and that was the first time I ever cut my own hair. This time I took about 20 cm off to give me a completely new look! I knew if it turned out uneven I could always go to the hairdresser but at the end I didn’t even go back to tidy it myself. Since the styling that I was going for was going to be quite voluminous and wavy, I knew it didn’t have to be super crisp or even anyways.

This was the first time I ever cut my hair into a different style by myself. Since I hadn’t really experimented too much before, I think I gradually built myself to start taking action on my own this year. Besides, there’s been times that I go to the hairstylist asking for a shaggy cut and coming out with a couple of long layers which had less of a dramatic effect than what I intended so saving myself a couple of bucks and trying to achieve what some hairstylist wouldn’t let me do was something I needed to do on my own to scratch that itch. A bob is not really a crazy look that couldn’t be achieved in the hair salon but this was my first step into the world of “cutting your own hair at home”.

I did this cut and styling all by myself with no special equipment and I really loved it! I’ve had short hair before but not this particular length or style and I really enjoyed how it turned out.

Jono and I did a little photoshoot right after the cut to immortalize it so here we are with the photo gallery… Roll the tape!

So what do you think? Have you cut your hair before? How did it go? Let me know down bellow!
