Hello everyone! Welcome to another monthly blog. Today I’m sharing what’s been going on in September 2022. After last month’s travels – August 2022 – to Vancouver and New York, we landed in Nuevo Leon! my hometown’s state in Mexico, after more than 3 years away due to Covid.
This was the first time I’m back since I first left my family and hometown back in 2019 to start my internship in Thailand. Seeing my family after this long was definitively a rollercoaster but gave me the opportunity to introduce Jono to most of my close and extended family, as well as do some touring around with him.
We also had the chance to learn a few fun things in a Taller de Mascaras en Cartoneria (Mexican Cardboard Craft Masks Workshop) with my cousin Bertha and how to bake 3 of the most iconic Mexican breads with my cousin Lalo.
The last week of the month we set off to our next adventure: Centro America. Starting with Panama where we stayed 4 days in Panama City to explore the Panama Canal, Panama Viejo, Casco Viejo and a couple other fun and popular things to do. I definitively wished we stayed longer here! After seeing all the exciting history and culture, I regret not staying longer but we were really happy with what we managed to see in these couple of days.
