Hello there, welcome to this Year’s Mid Year Review. In this blog, I’ll be reflecting on the first half of 2024, my goals, achievements, and thoughts. I actually didn’t set up any goals at the beginning of the year but through this mid year review exercise, I reflected on the last year and set a few goals now taking into account where I was at back then and where the year has been going to as well as the first six months of 2024. If you’re curious to see my general goals, theme and aspirations for 2024, check out this blog: 2023 Review and 2024 Goals
If you’ve been checking out my blog for any amount of time, you might’ve noticed that I’ve been doing monthly blogs for a few years now, some months more thoughtfully written than others but regardless of the depth of the blogs, this practice has helped me to keep mindful and aware, as objectively as possible, of the progress and happenings of my life. It’s been a while since I sit down and purposefully write my review and look back at things with specific prompts. I’ve done this type of New Year and Mid Year Review prompts from Lavendaire a few years ago but this time is the first time in a while and it feels really special because I’ve been on therapy for around a year now after a long time of mental and physical health struggles.
What wins am I proud of from the first half of the year?
- Walks
- Started going to the gym
- Dare to try new career / business
- Re gain confidence and hope
- Let go of burdens and stress around life decisions
- I’m more mindful, patient and I live more in the moment
- Beat seasonal depression
Review of 2024 Goals
Which goals are most important for me to focus on for the rest of the year?
- Take better care of me, my things and my space
- Create more space for health, wellness, creativity, play and adventure
- Grow slowly
How has this year surprised me? What is something I learned that I didn’t expect?
Getting into teaching, starting to work solo, slowly growing comfortable and confident in doing so. Also, organically achieving my goals and still being gentle with myself along the way.
